Abused Romance, the Los Angeles based melodic rock band signed to new Universal Music Group distributed label Freeway Records, will be going on tour this fall with Trapt. The group has spent much of 2010 out on the road and gearing up for the release of their debut album, Shine. Vocalist Meir Yaniv talked about all the touring, “We just finished touring with Nonpoint and Egypt Central and even though most of the people at the shows didn’t know our music, I think we won over a lot of new fans. We can’t wait for this tour with Trapt and we know it’s gonna be a blast!”
Abused Romance has also just released “Sound of Violence,” a new track off of Shine. The album was recorded in Los Angeles with producer Justin Gray, while the mix was handled by legendary engineer Randy Staub (U2, Metallica). Shine will be out in early 2011 via Freeway Records/Universal Music Group Distribution. The band’s dynamic blend of atmospheric rock and radio ready choruses, has had listeners comparing Abused Romance’s sound to the likes of 30 Seconds to Mars and Linkin Park.
