Seven Day Sonnet may be a relatively new band on the Modern Rock/Alt. Metal scene with their current lineup finalized in July of 2008. However, this Chicago five-piece holds an uncompromisingly professional approach when it comes to writing, recording and performing. Seven Day Sonnet has already shared the stage with such national acts as Killswitch Engage, Disturbed, Lacuna Coil, Bury Your Dead, Janus, Chimaira, Bobaflex, Spineshank, The Chariot, Attack Attack!, and more, earning enthusiastic fans at each step along the way.
In February, 2009 the band teamed up with Producer/Dark New Day front man Brett Hestla for work on what would become their debut album “Reprisal.” Known for his past work with bands such as Framing Hanley and Tantric, Hestla took an active role in shaping the overall sound of the record, even lending his vocal talents by singing backup throughout the album. “Brett’s experience as a producer and raw creativity as a musician was a perfect fit for us. We were blown away by what he was able to get out of us.”
