  1. Twelve Foot Ninja is a fiercely independent band whose music reflects the story of a sole ninja's mission to restore balance in a world headed toward a self-inflicted apocalypse. Embodying originality in everything they do, the band describes their music as a hybrid of genres - alternative rock, dub, metal, electronic, yacht rock, funk and latin among others. The band pushes hard on the boundaries of musical styles. In the lead up to the release of their debut album, Twelve Foot Ninja is releasing 1 digital track and 1 digital comic every week for 12 weeks from twelvefootninja.com in a campaign dubbed `PROJECT 12`. Produced by the band and UK comic artist Keith Draws, the comics are inspired by the lyrics of the album tracks and based on the original fable of Twelve Foot Ninja (co-written by guitarist Stevic Mackay). At the end of the 12 weeks, they'll release the physical edition of their debut album SILENT MACHINE (out Nov 2, 2012). Recently Twelve Foot Ninja has toured nationally with Dead Letter Circus and Fair To Midland (US), as well as supporting progressive-metal juggernauts Periphery (US) and Tesseract (UK). The band attracts sold out crowds at their Australian headline shows and have appeared at such festivals as Pyramid Rock, Come Together, Rock The Bay, Showdown and Progfest. Journey into the world of Twelve Foot Ninja's music and you'll find layers well beyond your expectations.
